The expansive lobby features dramatic Hollywood-style lighting, while common areas blend graphic marble floors with wrought-iron railings.

I enjoyed the boutique art-deco charm of The Astor, but my experience had its ups and downs. The location was super convenient, just a short walk to the beach and Collins Avenue, which I loved. However, the elevator was still out, and I had to climb a few flights of stairs, which wasn't ideal. The room size was impressive and the decor was appealing, but the cleanliness left a bit to be desired. Overall, I'd say it's a decent option for the location, but not without its quirks.

Breakfast didn't blow me away, but it was adequate. I appreciated the availability of complimentary coffee in the lobby, especially since it was Starbucks.

The small pool area looked inviting, even though I didn’t get the chance to use it. It's a nice feature for a quick dip between beach visits.

I recently stayed at The Astor By Luxurban and found it to have a lot of potential but also several shortcomings. The room size was impressive, and the Art Deco decor gave it a unique character. However, I faced multiple issues with amenities and maintenance that detracted from my experience, such as a non-functioning elevator and an unclean room.

Rooms
6.0
The room was spacious and beautifully decorated, but there were noticeable stains on the carpet and poor bathroom maintenance. My initial room had inadequate lighting and felt less secure with an old key system.
Service
6.0
The staff, particularly Latousha and Claudia, were friendly and tried their best to accommodate me despite the challenges. However, the overall service felt overwhelmed due to the volume of complaints from other guests.
Location
8.0
The location was undeniably a highlight, just a couple of blocks from South Beach and near Collins Avenue, making it easy to explore the area on foot.
Dining
5.0
While there was complimentary Starbucks coffee available in the lobby, the dining options felt lacking, especially considering the resort fee charged. No breakfast or substantial snacks were provided.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities need some serious investment; the pool was closed, and the elevator was out of order. Plus, there was a lot of noise from construction that disturbed the atmosphere.

I had a mixed experience at The Astor. On one hand, the location is fantastic, just a short walk to Ocean Drive and the beach, making it perfect for exploring South Beach. On the other hand, the hotel definitely needs some serious updates and repairs. While I slept well on the comfortable bed, there were noticeable issues, like a water leak in the bathroom. Overall, if you're looking for a budget option for a short stay, it might work, but be prepared for some shortcomings.

While there are some nice amenities like mini fridges in the rooms, the hotel needs maintenance in several areas and lacks essential features like an ice machine.

My stay at The Astor By Luxurban was a mixed bag. I loved the charming Art Deco style and the sizable room, which was clean and comfortable. However, there were some drawbacks, such as the slow check-in process and a lack of hot water during my shower. Overall, it's a decent option if you're looking for good value in a prime location near the beach, despite some areas needing improvement.

My stay at The Astor By Luxurban had a few ups and downs. While the location was fantastic, just blocks from the beach, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, I was disappointed by the lack of cleanliness and room maintenance. The decor captured a charming Art Deco vibe but required major upgrades to match the photos online. It’s a mixed bag for my experience.

Rooms

The room was spacious, which was a nice surprise, but the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. I found hairs on the bathroom floor and stains on the rug. It could have used a thorough cleaning.
Service

The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, which was a bright spot in my stay. They even offered assistance when I had an issue, although I wished the overall service could have been more efficient.
Location
9.0
The location is a major plus. Just a short walk to the beach and local attractions. It's situated right in the heart of South Beach, which made exploring easy.
Dining

The complimentary continental breakfast was minimal and lacked options, which was disappointing. I opted to skip it after seeing the offerings. Free Starbucks coffee in the lobby was a nice touch, though.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel features a small pool area, which was lovely but needed some cleaning as well. The absence of an ice machine and other basic amenities was frustrating, especially for the price paid.
